Former England striker Michael Owen has slammed Fulham forward Adama Traore for missing a series of chances in Saturday’s 3-2 Premier League defeat to Manchester City.
Andreas Pereira gave the Cottagers an early lead but conceded three goals in quick succession to Mateo Kovacic twice and Jeremy Doku. Although Rodrygo added to the score, the team still suffered a defeat.
However, in this game, Traore had a one-on-one opportunity with Ederson but failed to score, which Owen said was disappointing and the game would have been different if he had put the ball in the back of the net.
“Listen, with all due respect, if he had scored he’d be at Barcelona or Real Madrid or Manchester City because he’s got the qualities that don’t give him that. I mean his pace… against Kyle Walker, it’s brilliant,” Owen told Premier League Productions.
“As I said, if he had that quality he wouldn’t be playing for Fulham, with all due respect – Fulham are a brave team with the way they play. I don’t think they’ll be surprised by going to Manchester City.”
“Of course the quality will tell in the end, สมัคร ufabet but I always thought they could fight and have a chance. If they could take Traore’s chance, it would be different.”
