Chelsea goalkeeper Eduard Mendy has slammed the media for using a self-portrait of Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy in a rape case.
The midfielder has made headlines after being charged with two more rape charges, including the former totaling seven, and he will be detained at the HMP Altcourse in Liverpool. And there will be a hearing on January 24, 2022.
However, many media outlets hit the news about the case, but instead used a picture of the “Blues” goalkeeper, including Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy, which “Mendy” of Stamford lord Bridge came out to the media in this regard.
“Sad to see it in 2021 in France as well as England, for some people of color there is no clear name or face,” Mendy posted on social media.
“The ‘mistakes’ of these images appear to be trivial. But on the contrary, it is highly symbolic. Differentiating the two faces is not a complicated matter. Especially when football shirts can help.”
Following the Chelsea goalkeeper’s post, the Real Madrid defender also posted on social media: “Thank you Eduard Mendy! We are in 2021 already,” Mendy posted with a sad emoji.

No bail applications were made by their legal representatives, with Mendy refused bail for a third time in October when trying to obtain release from HMP Altcourse.
But at a previous hearing at the same magistrates’ court. Benjamin Mendy’s solicitor Christopher Stables said that his client denies the allegations.
Bought from Monaco in 2017 for a fee of £52 million ($70 million). Benjamin Mendy has made just 50 appearances across five seasons for City. But has won the Premier League three times and the League Cup twice. While also a Champions League runner-up to Edouard Mendy’s Chelsea.
